Early Start Denver Model (ESDM)
The ESDM is a comprehensive, evidence-based intervention for children who have been diagnosed with, or are at risk for, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). It is used for children ages 1-5 years and focuses on building skills in many areas of development, with an emphasis on social-emotional, cognitive, and language skills. The ESDM uses a combination of developmental, play-based, relationship-based, and behavioral approaches. The intervention is delivered through natural play-based activities and daily routines and progress is continuously tracked by data collection. Parents and caregivers are strongly encouraged to take an active role in this intervention to support their child’s progress.
Lara is a Certified ESDM Therapist and is able to provide comprehensive ESDM services from start to finish for children ages 1-5 years.
